What "keeps working forever" means
A licence is a signed file with an "updates until" date. Every release published before that date is yours. After the date, the app keeps running with every Pro feature; it stops installing newer versions until you buy another year. There is no server check and no expiry of the features you paid for.
What a licence covers
- Devices
- Pro: one person, up to 3 machines. Firm: one seat per person.
- Platforms
- Mac (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 and 11, same licence.
- Activation
- Import the licence file. Works offline. Lost it? Use the licence resend page.
- Updates
- Off by default. The optional update check is the only other address the app knows.
Questions
Why not a subscription?
A report editor is used in bursts, per engagement. You should not pay in the months you do not ship a report.
Can I try Pro first?
Yes: 21 days or 3 Pro exports, whichever ends later. The trial needs no email and no account.
Does the free version put a watermark on exports?
Plain PDF adds one line, "Made with AsItIs", in the footer. Pro removes it.
Do you offer discounts?
Founding licences in the paid beta get 24 months of updates for the Pro price. Students and open-source maintainers: email us with what you work on.
