Terms of service
These terms cover the asitis.app website and the purchase of AsItIs licences. Use of the software itself is governed by the EULA.

1. The website
You may use asitis.app to read about AsItIs, join the waitlist, download the software and buy licences. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or access parts of it that are not public. Content on the site is ours unless stated otherwise; the benchmark corpus and harness are released under the licence in their repository.
2. What you buy
A Pro licence ($29) or a Firm licence ($79 per seat, minimum 3 seats) is a one-time purchase of a perpetual licence to use the Pro features of AsItIs on the terms of the EULA, plus the right to install every release published within the update period: 12 months for Pro, 24 months for Firm and for founding licences bought in the paid beta. After the update period the software keeps working; newer releases require a new licence.
Free features need no licence and no account.
3. Merchant of record
Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, which is the seller of record for the transaction, collects payment and applicable taxes, issues the invoice and handles refunds and chargebacks. Its terms apply to the payment. We deliver the licence file by email after payment is confirmed.
4. Licence delivery and reissue
The licence is a signed file sent to the email address used at checkout. You are responsible for keeping it. You can have it resent to the same address at any time through the licence resend page. Licences are personal (Pro) or per named seat (Firm) and may be installed on up to 3 machines used by that person.
5. Refunds
30-day refund, no questions asked, as described in the refund policy. A refunded licence is revoked and must be deleted.
6. Trial
Pro features can be tried for 21 days or 3 Pro exports, whichever ends later. The trial is local and needs no account. You may not circumvent the trial.
7. Acceptable use
Do not resell, sublicense or share licence files beyond the seats you bought, remove licence checks, or use the software to violate the law. Firm licences may be transferred between employees when someone leaves; tell us so we can reissue.
8. Warranty and liability
The software is provided with the care described on the trust page, including the byte-clean invariant tested in CI. Beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude, the software is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot be limited under Indian law or the consumer law of your country of residence.
9. Beta software
During the paid beta the software is marked as beta. It is tested against the invariants described on the trust page, but features may change and bugs may exist. Founding licences are full licences; the beta label does not shorten your rights or update period.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms in force at the time of your purchase apply to that purchase. Changes are dated and noted in the changelog.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts in India, except that consumers in the EU or UK keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
